The ‘BT Market Today Summit’ will be organized by Business Today and will bring together top investors, practitioners, policymakers, global experts, business leaders, and other stakeholders from the Indian capital market ecosystem.
On January 24, the summit will be held in Mumbai.
The summit will examine key trends and challenges that will enable the capital market to play a larger role in India’s growth, as well as provide speakers with the opportunity to share their unique experiences and ideas. Participants from the capital market ecosystem will discuss and debate key trends and issues to better position the Indian capital market to contribute to the country’s economic growth.
The BT Market Today Summit 2023 will feature discussions and debates on a wide range of topics concerning capital markets, which have undergone significant structural transformations in the three decades since deregulation.
The BT Market Today Summit 2023, a flagship initiative supported by Business Today, is being held against the backdrop of India’s financial markets, which have steadily improved, particularly when compared to other Asian countries. Government initiatives, regulatory reforms, improved demand-supply dynamics, sustained economic growth, and pension, insurance, and mutual fund money all contributed to this expansion, the company said in a statement.
On a panel titled ‘The Coming of Age of Retail Investors,’ industry leaders Nilesh Shah, MD, Kotak Mahindra AMC; Vijay Chandok, MD, ICICI Securities; Basant Maheshwari, Investor, and Author: The Thoughtful Investor; and Dhiraj Relli, MD and CEO, HDFC Securities will also share their insights.
In another debate, Manisha Girotra, CEO of Moelis India, and Sanjay Mehta, Founder, and CEO of 100X.VC will discuss Private Equity Investment Trends in Emerging Markets. The Market Today Summit will also include a panel discussion on Mutual Funds: Future Trends, with speakers including Sankaran Naren, Executive Director, and Chief Investment Officer, ICICI Prudential AMC, A Balasubramanian, President, AMFI, Sundeep Sikka, ED and CEO, Nippon Life India Asset Management, and Rajeev Thakkar, CIO and Director, PPFAS Asset Management.
