Former J&K Chief Minister and Democratic Azad Party (DAP) chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad will take stand on the headline-making show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ on April 8.
Azad will be responding to the questions of India TV Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma, who has returned with new episodes of his longest-running TV show.
In this action-packed episode, the former union minister, who resigned from India’s oldest political party last year, will discuss his departure from India’s oldest political party, the DAP’s agenda in J&K, and the forthcoming 2024 general election. Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi both confided in Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Azad will share inside anecdotes about the Gandhi family, including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi, in this episode.
Azad will appear on Rajat Sharma’s show barely days after the publication of his autobiography, ‘Azaad,’ in which he publicly criticizes the Congress Party and several of its prominent officials.
He blamed them for the party’s demise, which began with the resignation of ex-Congress leader Himanta Biswa Sarma in Assam.
Azad and the Congress, once part of the nucleus and entrusted with significant tasks, parted ways after 50 years. A month after leaving, the former J&K chief minister launched his own party in his home province at the age of 71. Under the NDA era, the DAP chief was also recognized with the Padma Awards, one of the highest civilian honors in the country, last year.
‘Aap Ki Adalat’ is one of the longest-running interview series, having aired for more than two decades. Since its debut in 1993, the show, presented by veteran journalist Rajat Sharma, has included over 1,000 noteworthy figures. Nobody has been able to avoid questioning, Sharma, from strong politicians to Hollywood personalities, leading athletes to spiritual gurus.
With its unique content, the show has been able to maintain its position as the No.1 News Show in its timeband. The show is aired on India TV at 10 pm on Saturday and is repeated at 10 am and 10 pm on Sunday.
