NAGRA, a subsidiary of the Kudelski Group and the world’s leading independent provider of content protection and multiscreen television solutions, announced that Claro Colombia, the US largest mobile telecommunications provider, has chosen TV key Cloud as a direct-to-TV offering for its Claro tv+ service.
Claro’s subscribers will benefit from a rich pay-TV experience that can be accessed directly through Samsung smart TVs, eliminating the need for an additional set-top box.
The launch broadens consumers’ multiscreen content consumption experience by providing access to all content in the Claro entertainment ecosystem.

NAGRA and Samsung collaborated to define TVkey Cloud, which provides an intuitive, operator-defined user experience with integrated security.
TVkey Cloud also meets the MovieLabs requirements for 4K Ultra HD, HDR, and early release content enhanced content protection.
The solution fully utilizes the built-in features of the smart TV, including the remote control.

To access the Claro tv+ service, customers can launch the activation process from the Samsung TV app store. “We are excited to innovate hand in hand with our strategic partners to improve the user experience.
