The annual Ganesh festival is just around the corner, and Maharashtra is excited to welcome Lord Ganesha, the state’s most beloved deity. Residents of Maharashtra dress up in festive attire, chant aartis, feast on modaks, and visit innumerable Ganesha pandals dotting the state’s cities, towns, and villages during the ten-day Ganeshotsav, which runs from September 19 to September 28, 2023.
It is also the time when devotees from all over India flock to the Ashtavinayak shrines and queue to see the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai and Dagduseth Ganapati in Pune, the most celebrated and visited Ganesha Idols. To ensure that its valued users across the country can easily experience Lord Ganesha’s divine presence, leading telecom operator Vi will live stream Darshan of Lalbaugcha Raja, Dagduseth Ganapati, and four Ashtavinayak shrines via the Vi App and Vi Movies & TV App.
During the entire ten-day festival, Vi users can immerse themselves in the daily rituals and ‘aartis’ of Lalbaugcha Raja and Dagduseth idols from the comfort of their own homes. The daily ‘aartis’ will be broadcast live on mobile phones via the Vi Movies & TV App or the Vi App in collaboration with Shemaroo.
On Anant Chaturdashi, Ganeshotsav’s final day, Vi users will have the unique opportunity to virtually join the live-streamed visarjan procession of Lalbaugcha Raja, as lakhs of followers bid a fond farewell to Ganpati Bappa. Vi has also installed specially designed LED screens in select Vi stores throughout Mumbai. These screens will broadcast Lalbaugcha Raja’s Live Darshan throughout the day, allowing both visitors and the general public to partake in this divine experience.
Even after the ten-day Ganeshotsav is over, Vi users will be able to see Morgaon, Siddhatek, Ranjangaon, and Theur deities live.
