The ABP Network‘s The Southern Rising Summit was abuzz with insights from prominent personalities as they discussed the impact of AI, environmental consciousness, and transformations in the film industry.

Rana Daggubati on AI Disruption and Interactive Cinema: Actor Rana Daggubati, during the session titled ‘So Many Cinemas: Celebrating India’s Diversity,’ emphasized the forthcoming disruption caused by Artificial Intelligence in our lives. He predicted that interactive cinema would become personalized on devices through over-the-top (OTT) platforms. He also noted that while technology would significantly influence the entertainment industry, humans would continue to play a crucial role in shaping AI’s impact. Daggubati further commented on the upcoming elections in India, advising people to choose the side they want to support.

Ricky Kej’s Environmental Passion and PM Modi’s Encouragement: Renowned music composer and environmentalist Ricky Kej, a three-time Grammy Award winner, spoke during the ‘India on the World Stage: Rhythm Divine’ session. Kej lauded India’s commitment to addressing climate change and mentioned the significant concern about this issue in the country. He shared how a brief meeting with Prime Minister Modi inspired him to focus on creating environmental consciousness and social impact through his music. Kej emphasized the urgency of addressing climate change through individual actions and the emotional language of music.

Revathy’s Journey in Film-Making: Versatile actor and director Revathy, in a session titled ‘Time Traveller- 40 Years on the Big Screen,’ shared her experiences in the film industry. She reminisced about her journey, mentioning how director Bharathiraja introduced her to the world of scripts and decision-making. Revathy’s passion for filmmaking led her to become a director, a path that took 18 years to materialize. She highlighted the transformative changes in storytelling, filmmaking, and society, emphasizing her adaptability due to her upbringing in various parts of India.

The Southern Rising Summit celebrated the depth and diversity of India’s artistic and cinematic achievements. It was a tribute to the growth, cultural richness, and societal harmony exhibited by the southern states of India.
