The official trailer for ‘Sam Bahadur,’ the upcoming biopic directed by Meghna Gulzar, has been released, stirring considerable anticipation among fans.
The film delves into the remarkable life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, portrayed by Vicky Kaushal, India’s first Field Marshal.
Manekshaw played a pivotal role in India’s historic victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war, leading to the birth of Bangladesh.
The trailer provides a glimpse of Sam Manekshaw’s exceptional leadership and the formidable challenges he faced. It portrays Manekshaw’s unwavering determination to secure victory in the face of political pressure to maintain the status quo. The two-minute and thirty-eight-second trailer highlights Manekshaw’s illustrious 40-year military career and his collaboration with former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to defeat Pakistan.
It also emphasizes the importance of discipline in the army as Manekshaw imparts wisdom to a minister. The trailer concludes with Sam’s powerful words, ‘Hum rahe ya na rahe iss vardi ka gaurav hamesha rehna chahiye (Whether we live or die, the honor of this uniform must always endure).'”
