In a joyous celebration preceding Diwali, Gowardhan Ghee, a beloved brand in India, has announced a heartwarming partnership with Sony Entertainment Television‘s renowned quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati.
Marking the occasion of Vasubaras, Gowardhan Ghee has pledged to donate 100 liters of their finest desi cow ghee for every correct answer given in the Khushiyonwali Diwali episode.
The generosity doesn’t stop there – Sony TV has joined in by committing to contribute 100 kilograms of rice and 100 kilograms of wheat to the Roti Bank Foundation for each correct answer. The foundation, initiated by Ravi Shankar Upadhyay in Bihar, strives to combat malnourishment and hunger by providing nutritious food to those in need. The ‘Maa Annapurna Community Kitchen’ operated by the foundation prepares meals daily, which are then distributed to various locations, the channel said in a press release.
Expressing his gratitude, Ravi Shankar Upadhyay, the founder of the Roti Bank Foundation, stated, “We are truly appreciative of Sony Entertainment Television and Gowardhan Ghee’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of those who require it the most. The 1800 kgs of rice, wheat, and ghee will help us provide wholesome meals to countless individuals, creating a brighter Diwali for all.”
Gowardhan Ghee’s commitment to quality, purity, and consumer well-being aligns seamlessly with this initiative, reflecting their values of spreading warmth and joy during the festive season by providing ghee to those in need.
Akshali Shah, Executive Director at Gowardhan Ghee, expressed her enthusiasm for the unique initiative, saying, “Vasubaras is a day that holds great significance for families across India. We are happy to contribute to the joy of this day by making a meaningful donation on Kaun Banega Crorepati. We hope that this gesture inspires others to give back to their communities as well.”
Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 15, known for highlighting the stories of the common man and their determination, is taking a philanthropic turn with weeklong ‘Desh Ki Diwali’ episodes. Neeraj Vyas, Business Head of Sony Entertainment Television, highlighted, “Sony Entertainment Television and Gowardhan Ghee will together prove the power of collective efforts and contribute significantly to the noble cause of the Roti Bank Foundation, echoing the true essence of ‘Khushiyonwali Diwali.’ This initiative further exemplifies our commitment to not only entertain but also create a positive impact on society.”
