Microsoft has unveiled the appointment of Aparna Gupta as the newest leader of the Global Delivery Center (GDC), an integral part of the Industry Solutions Delivery within the expansive Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) framework.
Gupta’s new role as GDC head positions her to drive customer innovation, ensure delivery excellence, and accelerate cloud growth with top-tier talent, industry expertise, and a robust partner ecosystem.
The Global Delivery Center, inaugurated in Hyderabad in 2005 and subsequently expanded to include Bangalore and Noida, serves as the delivery arm for Industry Solutions Delivery, uniting architects, consultants, and project managers to offer top-notch delivery solutions worldwide.
Gupta’s primary focus will revolve around collaborating with the team to uphold customer support in their digital transformation journey.
Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia, expressed his delight regarding Gupta’s elevation, emphasizing her extensive experience and profound understanding of Microsoft technologies. In response to her appointment, Aparna Gupta shared her enthusiasm, expressing her eagerness to collaborate with GDC teams in bolstering technical expertise across solution domains and fostering a robust team culture to ensure unparalleled excellence in customer service.
GDC encompasses four Centers of Excellence (CoE) specializing in app innovation, Data & AI, Infra and security, and Business Applications. Additionally, it oversees functions such as Partner and delivery Management and Adoption Management, aiming to leverage technical proficiency and effective delivery management to offer transformative solutions globally.
Having joined Microsoft six years ago as the India lead for Commercial Software Engineering, Gupta has significantly influenced the business, including establishing the Customer Success Unit (CSU) as a distinct segment within MCAPS India. Her tenure has seen a strong emphasis on driving consumption culture, fostering business outcomes across the Microsoft Cloud, and advocating for diversity and inclusion within the organization.
Gupta’s previous role as the Customer Success leader in the India and South Asia Area further underlines her dedication to driving impactful strategies and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace environment within Microsoft.
