In a significant announcement, ZEE5 has slated the digital premiere of the much-acclaimed Vicky Kaushal-starrer ‘Sam Bahadur’ for January 26, coinciding with India’s 75th Republic Day.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Productions, the war biopic offers an intimate portrayal of the remarkable life of Sam Manekshaw, spanning his tenure as Chief of Army Staff to his well-deserved retirement, PTI reported.

Having initially hit cinemas on December 1, ‘Sam Bahadur’ garnered praise for its compelling narrative and powerful performances. The film not only delves into Manekshaw’s pivotal milestones but also explores the triumphs of his illustrious journey.

Alongside Kaushal, the movie features stellar performances by Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub.

Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer at ZEE5, expressed pride in announcing the digital premiere on Republic Day. He highlighted the successful collaboration with Screwvala’s productions, emphasizing their commitment to delivering impactful patriotic films.

Screwvala described ‘Sam Bahadur’ as a special project, expressing his intent to share the inspiring narrative of Sam Manekshaw with the world. The collaboration with ZEE5 for the world digital premiere is seen as a significant opportunity to give the film the platform it deserves.

Meghna Gulzar, the director, shared that creating this biographical drama was a life-changing experience. She praised Kaushal for his authentic portrayal of Manekshaw and expressed gratitude for the audience’s love and support during the theatrical release.
