Aaj Tak, a prominent news channel under the India Today Group, achieved a historic milestone during the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir on January 22.
The channel, according to a press release from the news network, set a new benchmark by registering an impressive peak concurrent user count of 1.8 million on YouTube between 11:00 am to 12:59 pm.
This accomplishment further solidifies India Today Group’s position as a leader in digital news outreach, it said.
The remarkable peak concurrency on YouTube marked Aaj Tak’s dominance over competitors, outshining platforms like Republic Bharat, Zee News, and India TV. Aaj Tak’s peak concurrent users soared ahead, with competitors trailing at 549.5K, 488.7K, and 400.8K users, respectively, the release further added.
A strategic partnership with PVR, featuring Aaj Tak feeds in over 160 theaters, contributed to the channel’s success and generated significant social media buzz as theaters reported being fully occupied during the event.
Aaj Tak’s live feeds also reached diverse locations, extending beyond digital platforms. The broadcasts reached 1800+ Arya Samaj centers, DAV schools, and prominent temples such as Hanuman Mandir, Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple, Siddhivinayak, Iskcon, Khatu Shyam, and many others.
The channel’s comprehensive coverage and strategic collaborations not only drew a massive online audience but also fostered a sense of community engagement, connecting with viewers across theaters, educational institutions, and religious centers.
Aaj Tak’s success during the Ayodhya Ram Mandir ceremony underscores its influence and reach in the digital news landscape, setting a new standard for news outlets in India.
