CNBC-TV18 launches ‘Future. Female. Forward: The Women’s Collective’ S2

CNBC-TV18, India’s leading English business news channel, proudly inaugurated Season 2 of ‘Future. Female. Forward: The Women’s Collective’ with a spectacular event held on February 10, 2024, at The Imperial Lawns in New Delhi.

The initiative, presented by HSBC India, aims to promote gender parity and inclusivity in the workforce and beyond, delivering impactful insights during its launch.

According to the press release, the key highlights of the event:

Inaugural Event: The event commenced with a mesmerizing musical performance by The Delhi Police’s All-Women Band, featuring 85 talented female officers. Shereen Bhan, Managing Editor, CNBC-TV18, set the tone by emphasizing the campaign’s success in fostering discussions on women’s economic empowerment and promoting gender balance.

HSBC CEO’s Commitment: Hitendra Dave, CEO of HSBC India, highlighted HSBC’s commitment to fostering equality of opportunity, including gender parity. Transparent practices such as disclosing pay by gender and fair recruitment processes were emphasized to drive tangible change.

India’s Alliance for Global Good: Smt. Smriti Irani, Minister of Women & Child Development, discussed India’s commitment to global welfare, citing achievements during the COVID-19 pandemic and the nation’s role in discussions on gender parity within the G20.

Inspiring Women Achievers: The event celebrated and felicitated women achievers like Gul Panag, Captain Shivani Kulkarni, Harshini Kanhekar, and Shaheen Malik. Leaders like Col. Bindu Nair, Ravneet Kaur, Lieutenant Commander Prerana Deosthalee, Suman Nalva, and Ajaita Shah were recognized for their inspiring contributions.

Insightful Discussions: Fireside chats with Jenny Johnson, CEO of Franklin Templeton Investments, and TED-style talks by Ravneet Kaur, Chairperson of the Competition Commission of India, added depth to the event.

Panel Discussion on Gender Parity: The leaders discussed “Bridging the Gender Gap: Strategies for Equality & Inclusion.” Panelists included Ravi Kumar, Anil Chadha, Hitendra Dave, Kami Viswanathan, and Herve Delphin.

Recognition of Contributions: Ghazal Alagh, Hepzibha Pathak, Anju Srivastava, and Harmilan Bains were felicitated for their inspiring contributions.

Closing Performance: Vanika Sangtani, Storyteller & Poet, delivered a captivating closing performance, encapsulating the life story and journey of a woman.
