The Delhi High Court has given its nod to a profit-sharing agreement between Reliance Entertainment Studios and Super Cassettes Industries (SCI), the parent company of T-Series, regarding the upcoming Netflix film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila.’
The agreement stipulates that Reliance Entertainment will share 50 percent of the profits from the film with SCI, The Economic Times reported.
‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ is a highly anticipated biopic portraying the life of the legendary Punjabi singer, with Diljit Dosanjh portraying the titular role. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, the movie is expected to shed light on the tumultuous journey of Chamkila’s life and career.
The profit-sharing arrangement aims to provide a practical resolution to the enforcement of the lien or charge, ensuring equitable distribution of revenues generated by the film’s release.
