As India gears up for the 2024 General Elections, Red FM, renowned for its hyper-local and hyper-vocal approach, has launched the ‘Niyat Mein Vote Hain’ campaign to invigorate democratic participation. With a focus on educating, encouraging, and emphasizing the importance of voting, the campaign aims to bolster voter turnout while amplifying the electorate’s voice under the theme of ‘Chunav Ka Parv, Desh Ka Garv.’

Nisha Narayanan, Director & COO of RED FM and Magic FM, highlighted the significance of civic duty, stating, “A vote is a doorway to the kind of future one envisions for oneself and their country.” She expressed the mission of ‘Niyat Mein Vote Hain’ as igniting the spirit of civic responsibility among Indian citizens, leveraging radio, digital, and on-ground platforms to ensure maximum voter engagement.

Utilizing a multiplatform approach, Red FM collaborated with Qawwali sensation Wajahat Hasan to infuse cultural resonance into the campaign, connecting with diverse audiences nationwide. Red FM’s RJs played a pivotal role in disseminating information through engaging segments like ‘Doubt Ko Out Kar,’ busting voting-related myths with humor and crucial insights.

The campaign’s multifaceted approach spans digital, radio, and on-ground activations, ensuring broad and inclusive engagement across demographics. Through informative content delivered in entertaining formats, Red FM aimed to simplify the electoral process and empower voters to exercise their rights effectively.

Furthermore, Red FM’s RJs sparked conversations on voting and voting rights through street interviews, online Q&A sessions, and detailed discussions about the Voting Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) system. The campaign facilitated audience interaction by providing a WhatsApp number for inquiries, reinforcing its commitment to voter education and engagement.

Red FM’s ‘Niyat Mein Vote Hain’ campaign builds on its past initiatives, such as ‘Ab Watan Dabayega Button’ in 2019, which focused on raising awareness about voting rights and encouraging first-time voters. The campaign’s efforts extended to remote areas, exemplified by reaching out to the residents of Dalelpur village during the 2019 General Elections, underscoring Red FM’s dedication to democratic participation and social change.
