Cartoon Network and POGO are launching the 17th edition of their School Contact Program (SCP), aiming to reach 1 million children across nearly 1,400 schools. This initiative, one of India’s largest school outreach programs, will roll out this week across 17 cities, continuing its tradition of inspiring young minds.
The SCP will feature two central themes for this year. Cartoon Network’s award-winning ‘Titans of Tomorrow’ focuses on environmental stewardship, encouraging students to engage in recycling and energy conservation through the lens of DC’s Teen Titans. Meanwhile, POGO’s ‘Heroes of Kindness’ promotes acts of kindness and community spirit, fostering a culture of empathy among children.
Uttam Pal Singh, Head of Kids Cluster, South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery, expressed enthusiasm for the program, noting its long-standing success. “We are excited to launch the 17th edition and continue our commitment to fostering a sustainable and compassionate society. With this year’s themes, we aim to inspire students to adopt values that contribute to a better world.”
Tanaz Mehta, Head of Advertising Sales, South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery, highlighted the program’s impact. “For 16 years, SCP has been a crucial tool for connecting with children through beloved characters. We are grateful to our partners and look forward to another year of meaningful engagement.”
The SCP will include forty-minute thematic sessions at each participating school. These sessions will feature interactive activities, such as icebreakers, discussions on sustainability, and prompts to encourage kindness. Students will also participate in hands-on projects focused on environmental care and conclude with a pledge to adopt responsible practices.
Participants will receive goodie bags and certificates from POGO and Cartoon Network, celebrating their commitment to positive change.
Janhavi Vyas, Head of Marketing, South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery, added, “The School Contact Program is about creating memorable experiences that inspire young minds. By expanding our reach and building on last year’s success, we hope to make a lasting impact.”
Cartoon Network’s ‘Titans of Tomorrow’ is supported by ITC Classmates and Dettol Handwash, with Kellogg’s Multigrain Chocos and Winkies as associate sponsors.
