Colors Marathi revamps brand with new tagline

Colors Marathi has announced a significant brand transformation, introducing a refreshed visual identity and a new tagline, ‘Navi Ubhaari, Oonch Bharari,’ which embodies Maharashtra’s aspirational spirit and commitment to progress.

The revamp coincides with the launch of a new season of the highly successful reality show ‘Bigg Boss Marathi’, marking a new chapter in the channel’s evolution.

The revamped Colors Marathi brand is designed to resonate with contemporary Maharashtrians who cherish their cultural roots while embracing modernity. A central feature of the new identity is the inclusion of the ‘Chandrakor,’ a crescent moon symbol deeply rooted in Maharashtrian tradition.

Historically worn by Marathi men and women and associated with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the Chandrakor symbolizes resilience and the rise of the Maratha empire. The refreshed design incorporates saffron and red hues, celebrating Maharashtra’s pride and progress.

Sushma Rajesh, Cluster Head – Colors Marathi, Colors Kannada, and Colors Tamil at Viacom18, expressed pride in the channel’s new direction and said, “Colors Marathi has always championed Marathi culture and values. Our new visual identity and tagline, ‘Navi Ubhaari, Oonch Bharari,’ represent a bold commitment to innovation while staying true to our cultural heritage.”

Sameer Penkar, Business Head, Colors Marathi, emphasized the significance of the new branding by saying, “The Chandrakor element not only honours our cultural heritage but also symbolizes our aspiration to reach new heights. This rebranding marks an exciting new phase for Colors Marathi, as we continue to offer captivating content that resonates with our diverse audience.”

The revamped channel is also set to premiere two new shows,‘Durga’ and ‘Aai Tulja Bhavani.’ ‘Durga’ follows the story of a young girl seeking vengeance for her family’s destruction, while ‘Aai Tulja Bhavani’ chronicles the revered legend of Goddess Mother Bhavani, known as the ‘Kulswamini’ of Maharashtra. These additions underscore Colors Marathi’s commitment to delivering compelling and culturally rich entertainment.

Bikash Kundu, Head of Revenue, Regional Entertainment, Viacom18, highlighted the revamped Colors Marathi’s potential to attract new sponsors. “With our refreshed identity and innovative content like the new season of Bigg Boss Marathi, Colors Marathi is positioned to make a significant impact in regional entertainment. This transformation is an exciting new chapter that promises greater value for both our partners and viewers,” Kundu added.
