‘Local Kung Fu 3’ hits screens across the Northeast

The much-anticipated third sequel of the Assamese martial arts-comedy series, ‘Local Kung Fu’, was released on Thursday across 150 screens in the Northeast, as announced by the film’s actor-director Kenny Deori Basumatary. With this release, Assam’s film industry proudly presents its first-ever trilogy.

‘Local Kung Fu 3’, made on a modest budget of around Rs 75 lakh, continues the legacy of its predecessors, retaining most of the beloved cast members from the earlier editions. Basumatary, who has been a driving force behind the success of the trilogy, shared his excitement and gratitude for the continued support from fans, which has made this landmark achievement possible for the Assamese film industry, PTI reported.

The ‘Local Kung Fu’ series is known for its unique blend of martial arts action and comedy, resonating with audiences across the region. With this third installment, the filmmakers aim to offer even more laughter, thrilling action, and memorable moments, further cementing its place in the hearts of moviegoers.
