Aap Ki Adalat

In an entertaining episode of Aap Ki Adalat, Bhojpuri actor and former BJP MP Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua, openly discussed his relationship with co-star Amrapali Dubey and his views on the Bhojpuri film industry. Interviewed by Rajat Sharma, Nirahua humorously declared he would be open to marrying Amrapali if Indian law allowed it, drawing laughter and applause. He also shared his long-time admiration for Karisma Kapoor and addressed the Mumbai film industry’s portrayal of Bhojpuri cinema.

According to a press release, Rajat Sharma’s Aap Ki Adalat, Bhojpuri star Nirahua bared his soul on topics ranging from his bond with co-star Amrapali Dubey to his early Bollywood crush. With 35 films together, Nirahua and Dubey have formed a dynamic duo, often leading fans to speculate about their relationship. Nirahua brushed off the rumors, attributing them to audience fascination and cheekily commenting, “If there were a law allowing married men with children to remarry, I’d be the first in line.”

When Sharma recalled Amrapali’s humorous quote that “marrying Nirahua would be like dipping in the Holy Ganga,” Nirahua admitted their camaraderie often amused fans. He clarified that their public appearances, like the recent Ayodhya temple visit, were innocent, even if they sometimes created a stir. “When I’m out with a co-star, I don’t think twice about it; we’re just there as colleagues,” he explained.

Nirahua fondly reminisced about his teenage years idolizing Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor. He shared that he never missed a first-day screening of her films, even sneaking out of NCC camps to keep up his streak. His devotion to Karisma’s posters on his walls sometimes earned him scoldings from his father, a memory that still brings a smile to his face.

Addressing Bhojpuri cinema’s reputation, Nirahua accused Bollywood of attempting to discredit Bhojpuri films as vulgar. “This is a conspiracy,” he stated. “People call our content crude, but Hindi films have their share of suggestive lyrics too.” He argued that the audience should decide for themselves, mentioning that religious Bhojpuri songs receive far less attention than popular tracks like “Lollypop.”

The actor also shared insights on fellow Bhojpuri stars, including Pawan Singh and Khesari Lal. Poking fun at their rivalry, he quipped, “I told them the top three spots are mine, they can compete for fourth place.” He praised Singh’s prankster spirit, narrating an incident where Singh nearly took the controls of a helicopter during a campaign rally.

In politics, Nirahua shared how his political journey began as an admirer of Lalu Prasad Yadav before supporting Mulayam Singh Yadav and later joining the BJP. Today, he views Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his political inspiration.
