On January 8, News18 Madhya Pradesh/Chhattisgarh hosted its flagship event, Rising Madhya Pradesh 2025, in Bhopal. The summit, centered around the theme ‘Naya Madhya Pradesh, Nayi Udaan’ (New Madhya Pradesh, New Flight), showcased the state’s vision for progress through impactful discussions and thought-provoking insights.
The event was graced by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who served as the Chief Guest, emphasizing the continuation of public welfare initiatives like the Ladli Behna Yojana, with financial assistance under the scheme set to increase to Rs.3,000. Highlighting the importance of empowering women, CM Yadav stated, “In this era of modernity, we must think about underprivileged women for whom even Rs.100 is significant.”
Addressing political developments, CM Yadav remarked on the opposition’s challenges, saying, “People are leaving Congress in droves; no one wants to stay in Congress. If former CM Kamal Nath comes back, he will be welcomed.”
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, another key speaker, highlighted the BJP’s commitment to public service, emphasizing that the party prioritizes serving society over seeking power. He credited the BJP’s focus on values like Antyodaya and human unity as its foundation for success.
Kailash Vijayvargiya, the Minister of Public Works, Parliamentary Affairs, and Urban Administration, announced plans for a metro connection between Ujjain and Indore ahead of Simhastha 2028 to boost connectivity and promote spiritual tourism. He also called for citizen participation in cleanliness initiatives to keep Madhya Pradesh pristine.
BJP State President VD Sharma reflected on the party’s grassroots strength, citing the digitization of 64,500 booths under his leadership as evidence of organizational readiness. He highlighted the party’s cohesive approach as the backbone of its success.
