Commencing celebrations for India’s 75th year of Independence, ABP Network has launched special programming initiatives on its national and regional news channels, ABP News, ABP Majha, and ABP Ananda.
With its distinctive content offerings, the network will be commemorating the nation’s diversity, history, beauty, and patriotic spirit this year.
As per the company’s press release, the national news channel, ABP News, would air a special show called ‘Bharat Ka Yug’. Hosted by the renowned Indian lyricist, Manoj Muntashir, the show will not only showcase development, governance, technology, reform, progress, and policy over the years, but also discuss what the future holds for the nation.
It will ask pertinent questions like what India has achieved in these 75 years of Independence, what it can learn from other countries performing better on various parameters and India could improve and be at the top of the heap.
‘Bharat Ka Yug’ will air starting on August 14 on ABP News at 9:00 pm with repeat telecasts on Sunday at 9:00 am.
ABP Network’s Bengali news channel, ABP Ananda, on the other hand, has introduced a new show called ‘Bharat Katha’. Hosted by anchor, Suman De, the history-based show explores the unexplored and unheard tales of India’s post-Independence period. With this show, ABP Ananda aims to provide comprehensive information to the viewers about the nation’s history in their language — that is in Bengali.
India has developed into what it is today over seven decades post-independence. There are thousands of unknown plotlines, contributions, and sacrifices of countless people, both known and unknown, behind the growth of the world’s largest democracy.
This history-based show will, therefore, enlighten the viewers about the valor and courage of some of the lesser-known freedom fighters and unsung heroes and explore unknown sacrifices and contributions of certain people in developing the nation since 1947.
The series ‘Bharat Katha’ has already premiered on ABP Ananda on July 31, 2021, and airs every Saturday at 8:00 pm.
As a part of Independence Day special programming, ABP Majha has also come up with myriad shows and programming initiatives.
The Marathi news channel will telecast the flag hoisting ceremony at Red Fort followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech.
Another special show called ‘75 big moments of Indian Democracy’ will be telecast on the Marathi news channel. Finally, ABP Majha will broadcast a musical show featuring famous contestants of ‘Indian Idols’in a performance.
Speaking on the announcement, Avinash Pandey, CEO, ABP Network said, “Just like every year, this independence day we have something extremely special in store for our viewers. Our Independence Day special shows are an effort to offer something new and interesting to the viewers that go beyond the news.
