Badshah to launch India’s first-ever Pokémon Music video with 'Imma Be Your Pokémon'

Indian rapper and music sensation Badshah is set to make history with the country’s first-ever Pokémon-themed music video, ‘Imma Be Your Pokémon’. This groundbreaking collaboration between the hip-hop star and the globally beloved Pokémon franchise promises to bring a fusion of energetic beats and nostalgic charm, IANS reported.

The music video will feature iconic Pokémon characters like Pikachu and Jigglypuff grooving to Badshah’s signature sound, creating a vibrant blend of pop culture and Indian music. Expressing his excitement about the project, Badshah shared, “I’ve loved watching Pokémon, and like millions of fans around the world, I was always captivated by its world of adventure, friendship, and determination. Being able to collaborate with such an iconic global brand is truly a dream come true.”

At its core, Imma Be Your Pokémon is an anthem of friendship and unwavering support—values that align with the essence of Pokémon and its long-standing appeal. “The song represents the bond between Pokémon and their trainers. It’s about being there for someone through thick and thin, making the impossible possible together. I can’t wait for fans to share this song with their loved ones and vibe along with Pokémon,” Badshah added.

The upcoming music video promises an electrifying experience, complete with vibrant Pokémon animations, a visually immersive storyline, and a high-energy soundtrack that reflects the spirit of adventure. This project not only marks a unique crossover but also highlights the increasing global recognition of Indian music in mainstream entertainment.

Beyond his Pokémon venture, Badshah recently made headlines for his candid remarks about his past feud with fellow rapper Honey Singh. After Singh publicly addressed their strained relationship, Badshah took a significant step toward reconciliation.

During GraFest 2024, he stopped his performance midway to address the issue, stating, “There was a phase in my life where I held this grudge against one person, and now I want to call it quits and leave that grudge behind – and that’s Honey Singh. I was unhappy because of some misunderstanding, but then I realized when we were together, jodne waale bahut kam the, todne waale bahut the (those wanting to unite us were far fewer than those trying to break us apart). Today, I just want to let everyone know I’ve left that phase behind, and I wish him all the best.”

With Badshah setting new milestones in both music and personal growth, fans eagerly await the release of Imma Be Your Pokémon. The collaboration is expected to strike a chord with Pokémon lovers and music enthusiasts alike, making it a landmark moment in Indian pop culture.
