Krafton, a South Korean video game developer, announced today that the video game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is now available in India.
“BGMI is now playable and has been rolled out with the 2.5 Update, providing gamers with a refined and immersive experience.” To ensure a consistent experience, the game’s playability will be staggered, allowing users to log in in stages, according to the company.
All users will be able to log in and play the game within 48 hours.
According to the company, the game will be available for iOS users in the country to download and play.
To promote responsible gaming practices, Krafton stated that the playtime for users under the age of 18 will be three hours, while the rest of the players will have six hours daily. Additionally, parental verification and daily spending limits for minors will remain a part of the game.
Furthermore, the update will include new additions such as a brand-new map – Nusa, captivating in-game events, weapon upgrades, and an eye-catching collection of new skins to enhance gameplay.
The Indian government first prohibited Krafton’s flagship PUBG offering in the country. Krafton later announced that the BGMI game would be released in May 2021.
Under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act of 2000, the Indian government then directed Google and Apple to remove the BGMI gaming app from their respective online stores.
