CNN-News18 is set to revolutionize morning television in India with the debut of ‘The Breakfast Club,’ the country’s first-of-its-kind morning show starting January 29.
Anchored by Sonal Mehrotra Kapoor, the show aims to redefine mornings by offering a unique blend of news, lifestyle, and entertainment from 8 am to 9 am on weekdays.
Designed to be an engaging and informative source for viewers to kick-start their day, ‘The Breakfast Club’ stands out with its non-political approach, focusing on delivering daily experiences that enhance decision-making. The show’s format includes dynamic mini-segments of 5-8 minutes each, covering a wide range of topics such as morning headlines, big events, business, technology, health, and real estate, the channel said in a press release.
The editorial strategy centers on selecting stories that impact daily lives, featuring clear calls-to-action, and limiting discussions to one expert per segment. The production quality is expected to be top-notch, with distinct stations and show-specific graphics for each segment. Engaging music will accompany the segments to contribute to the energetic and positive tone of the show.
To enhance audience interaction, ‘The Breakfast Club plans to conduct online surveys, utilize News18.com for trend reading, and debunk viral myths, addressing questions that genuinely matter to viewers.
Zakka Jacob, Managing Editor, CNN-News18, expressed, “With ‘The Breakfast Club,’ we aim to make every viewer’s morning engaging and energizing, setting a positive tone for the day ahead.
