GTPL Hathway Limited, which announced its financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2023 on Friday, has said that revenues increased by 8 percent Q-o-Q and 17 percent Y-o-Y.
One of India’s largest digital cable TV service providers and a leading broadband service provider, in a statement added that Q2 FY24 profit after tax stood at Rs. 344 million.
The broadband business active subscribers grew by 120K Y-o-Y and total active broadband subscribers stood at 990K and homepass stood
at 5.55 million, the company said. ARPU for broadband business at Rs. 460 remained stable on a Q-o-Q basis.
Subscription revenue increased by 2 percent Q-o-Q and 16 percent Y-o-Y, while the company expanded footprint in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, North-East, Delhi, Haryana andUttarakhand States.
Average data consumption per user per month stood at 310 GB, an increase of 25 percent Y-o-Y.
Commenting on the results, Anirudhsinh Jadeja, GTPL Hathway Limited MD, said, “GTPL strengthened its leadership position and continued to be the largest MSO and a leading wireline broadband service provider in the country during the quarter. The company is continuously expanding and working towards further strengthening its market leadership across its areas of operation.”
During the quarter, a 360-degree campaign ‘#AbKeZamaneKaConnection’ was launched across print, TV, OOH and digital media.
