The strategy-based cricket gaming app, Hitwicket, is set to host an exciting community event on October 6, 2024, in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. This gathering will see over 100 Hitwicket players come together for a day filled with engaging activities. For fans around the globe, the event will be broadcast live on YouTube, providing an opportunity for virtual participation.
Highlighting the significance of community engagement, the event will also feature a finalist from the previous edition of the YC Tournament, who will interact with attendees from the Hyderabad Hitwicket community.
In line with the trend of annual gatherings organized by major gaming studios like Krafton and Epic Games, this event promises award presentations, recognition ceremonies, engaging activities, goodie giveaways, and a mocktail dinner party.
This initiative coincides with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent acknowledgment of the vast potential within India’s online gaming sector to foster innovation and create career opportunities for the youth. Hitwicket aims to align with this vision by actively promoting young talent in both playing and developing games proudly made in India.
The co-founders of Hitwicket, Kashyap Reddy and Keerti Singh, expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “We’re beyond excited to host this event and bring our community together in person. Our game has grown rapidly, and events like these give us the chance to celebrate that success. We’re already planning more offline meetups to encourage gaming that helps players not only have fun but develop strategic skills for real-world application.”
Hitwicket has achieved significant milestones, surpassing 10 million downloads, and has garnered backing from notable investors such as Prime Ventures and veteran commentator Harsha Bhogle. The company recently launched a gaming accelerator fund in collaboration with ISB Ventures and appointed industry veteran Anand Ramachandran as their new creative director to further their global scaling efforts.
