The wait is over for Bollywood enthusiasts as ‘Nadaaniyan’, the much-anticipated debut film of Ibrahim Ali Khan son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh is set to premiere on Netflix on March 7, 2025.

Produced under Dharmatic Entertainment, the digital arm of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film also stars Khushi Kapoor in a lead role, marking a fresh pairing in Bollywood’s next big romantic drama, PTI reported from Mumbai.

The streaming giant announced the release date through an Instagram post, featuring a quirky promotional video that plays on nostalgia with the caption, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai aisi Nadaaniyan dekh kar. Watch ‘Nadaaniyan’, out 7 March, only on Netflix.”

Directed by Shauna Gautam, ‘Nadaaniyan’ promises a refreshing take on youthful love and unexpected connections. The film follows the lives of Arjun Mehta (Ibrahim Ali Khan), a middle-class overachiever, and Pia Jai Singh (Khushi Kapoor), a South Delhi diva with a penchant for drama.

The plot thickens when Pia devises a wild plan—hiring Arjun as her fake boyfriend to help her navigate an unexpected squad crisis. But as the lines between pretense and reality blur, the duo finds themselves entangled in genuine emotions. “Hire him as her fake boyfriend to save her squad. But when real feelings crash their party, can they handle the mess of falling in love?” teases the official synopsis.

Adding depth to the film’s narrative is a stellar supporting cast, featuring Bollywood veterans like Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj. The film is produced by Karan Johar, alongside Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra, reinforcing Dharmatic’s commitment to launching fresh faces under seasoned guidance.

‘Nadaaniyan’ marks a significant moment as two star kids Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor collaborate for the first time. Ibrahim, who previously worked as an assistant director on Johar’s 2023 hit ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, steps into the limelight with this role.

Meanwhile, Khushi Kapoor, daughter of the late legendary actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, continues to expand her filmography after her Netflix debut in The Archies and her recent appearance in Loveyapa opposite Junaid Khan.

With ‘Nadaaniyan’, Netflix further strengthens its slate of Indian romantic dramas that cater to a young audience. The blend of legacy, fresh talent, and a playful storyline is expected to resonate with fans of coming-of-age romances.

As the countdown begins, all eyes are on March 7, when ‘Nadaaniyan’ will bring love, laughter, and a dose of chaos straight to your screens.
