India TV, a prominent leader in India’s broadcasting sector, has unveiled a strategic re-structuring of its sales team to better align with its expanding presence across television, connected TV (CTV), and streaming platforms. This reorganization is a response to the significant success of India TV’s CTV-first content and the strong engagement driven by its Speed News Channel.
India TV’s restructured sales strategy is designed to enhance growth and effectiveness across its growing portfolio of channels and platforms. The restructuring aims to boost the network’s ability to provide targeted advertising solutions and support its vision to broaden its content offerings, the news channel said in a press release.
Commenting on the expansion, Ritu Dhawan, Managing Director of India TV, emphasized the strategic importance of this reorganization. “We are excited to unveil our new sales team structure, which supports our vision to expand our reach and strengthen our position as a leading news channel. This strategic change is designed to energize our presence, respond swiftly to market dynamics, and offer greater value to advertisers. With a team of seasoned experts, we are ready to lead our sales strategy into this next growth phase,” Dhawan said.
Under the leadership of Sudipto Chowdhuri, Chief Revenue Officer, India TV’s sales team has been divided into three key divisions to align with the company’s expanding channels and platforms:
1. Television Division:
• Mini Harrison, National Head, will lead this division. Harrison brings over 29 years of experience from News24 and Zee Media Corp Ltd. Her regional team includes:
• Manan Sheel Bhasin (North), with 20 years of experience in television monetization.
• Supreeth S Gondkar (South).
• Shyamotpal Chanda (East).
• Arghya Roy Chowdhury (West), a media industry veteran with two decades of ad sales experience, previously at Zee Media.
2. Connected TV and Streaming Platforms Division:
• Avdhesh Kumar, National Head, will oversee this division, leveraging over 15 years of expertise from roles at Inshorts, Star Jalsha, Channel V, and The Walt Disney Company. His regional team includes:
• Pratibha Mishra (North and East), with 14 years in revenue growth and strategic partnerships.
• Shriram Devati (South and West), recognized for his success in go-to-market strategies from Sun Tamil Cluster Channels and Zee Talkies.
3. Speed News Division:
• Sourav Dev, National Head, brings substantial sales and marketing experience from Times Network and TV Today Network. His team includes:
• Subhadip Bandopadhyay (North and East), with 15 years in market development.
• Sreyashi Banerjee (South and West), a high achiever with 22 years of experience, noted for significant revenue contributions and tentpole sales.
The strategic restructuring aims to enhance India TV’s presence across its diverse channels and platforms, enabling the company to respond more effectively to market dynamics and deliver increased value to advertisers.
