JioCinema Premium is set to launch the highly anticipated detective drama series ‘Shekhar Home’ on August 14, featuring Kay Kay Menon in the lead role. According to Jio Cinema’s press release, the series, inspired by the literary works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, also stars Ranvir Shorey, Rasika Dugal, and Kirti Kulhari in key roles. Produced by BBC Studios Productions India and directed by Rohan Sippy and Srijit Mukherjee, the 6-episode series promises to be a thrilling watch.

Set in the early 1990s in the tranquil town of Lonpur, Bengal, ‘Shekhar Home’ is an ode to an era when human intelligence was the primary tool for solving crimes. Kay Kay Menon plays the eccentric and brilliant ‘Shekhar Home’, who crosses paths with Jayvrat Sahni, a middle-aged bachelor portrayed by Ranvir Shorey. Together, they embark on a journey to solve mysteries across East India, tackling cases that range from blackmail and murder to supernatural occurrences. Shekhar’s sharp intellect becomes his greatest asset in navigating a world filled with unexpected criminals, ensuring each revelation is both surprising and thrilling.
