JioHotstar is set to turn up the volume and stir emotions with its latest youth-centric series, ‘Hai Junoon’– Dream, Dare, Dominate’, a coming-of-age musical drama that promises to be as intense as it is inspiring. Set within the vibrant halls of Mumbai’s fictional but iconic Andersons College, the show is a celebration of ambition, self-expression, and the fire that fuels the youth to chase their dreams against all odds.
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the series plunges into the world of competitive college music clubs, where raw talent collides with polished legacy, and where every performance is not just about winning a trophy—but about claiming one’s place in the world. The story follows two rival groups—The Misfits and The SuperSonics—each representing a different philosophy, each guided by powerful mentors who have their own pasts and passions to reckon with.
Jacqueline Fernandez leads the charge as Pearl, the enigmatic and spirited mentor to The Misfits. Speaking about her role, Fernandez said, “‘Hai Junoon’ is not just about music or dance. It’s a journey about identity, failure, finding courage in chaos, and standing tall in a world that’s constantly trying to box you in. Pearl is fierce, emotional, and surprisingly tender—playing her allowed me to tap into a side of me I don’t often show on screen.”
On the other side of the stage is Neil Nitin Mukesh, playing Gagan Ahuja, a disciplined and intense musical legend with a deep attachment to The SuperSonics, the college’s elite and long-reigning music club.
Alongside Fernandez and Mukesh is a talented young cast that brings electric energy to every frame. Viewers will see Sumedh Mudgalkar, Siddharth Nigam, Yukti Thareja, Aryan Katoch, Priyank Sharma, Kunwar Amar, Elisha Mayor and Bhavin Bhanushali among others, portraying students from diverse backgrounds — each with their own story, struggle, and passion.
‘Hai Junoon – Dream, Dare, Dominate’ starts streaming on JioHotstar this week.
