In celebration of International Women’s Day, popular short video app Josh has introduced the #TogetherForEquality campaign, aiming to champion the socioeconomic, political, and financial inclusion of women across various spheres, from homes and workplaces to educational and political institutions.
The campaign features the #NoFilter Challenge on Josh, inviting users to participate and shed light on instances of exclusion, particularly related to regressive social norms. #NoFilter encourages women to express themselves without fear of judgment, addressing issues such as constraints on career choices due to early marriage pressure, strict curfews, and moral policing of clothing choices. Users can utilize the challenge to share authentic life experiences, contributing to meaningful dialogues on women’s rights.
Josh will also collaborate with the Milaan Foundation and MASH Project Foundation to present a short video series emphasizing actionable steps within families, educational institutions, workplaces, and public spaces to foster inclusion.
Sunder Venketraman, Head of Content and Creator Ecosystem at Josh, expressed, “The #TogetherForEquality campaign represents our concerted effort to address gender disparities and drive meaningful change. By harnessing the extensive reach of Josh, we aim to amplify voices and foster a collective movement toward true gender equality.”
Rati Misra, Executive Director of Milaan Foundation, highlighted the campaign’s significance, stating, “This campaign holds profound significance as it underscores Milaan’s resolute commitment to breaking down barriers, dispelling stereotypes, and creating a world where every girl and every woman is valued, heard, and empowered, every single day.”
Aashish Beergi, Founder and CEO of MASH Project Foundation, emphasized that #TogetherForEquality is not just a campaign but a movement towards creating a society that celebrates diversity and champions women’s rights.
The campaign, live until March 9th, encourages individuals to join the #TogetherForEquality movement, partake in the #NoFilter Challenge, and contribute to conversations sparking positive change on this International Women’s Day.
