Sony Entertainment Television’s popular quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) Season 16, hosted by Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, will air a star-studded episode featuring renowned singers Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam.

The episode, which will air on Friday, September 22, promises a unique blend of music, memories, and meaningful conversation as the duo joins Bachchan for an unforgettable evening of entertainment and knowledge.

The episode will celebrate Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam’s extraordinary contributions to the Indian music industry, spotlighting their incredible journey as two of the country’s most beloved playback singers. It was a movie that held a special place in our hearts,” she said.

Taking the opportunity to pay tribute, both Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam will perform the title track from the film Khuda Gawah, a heartfelt homage to the classic movie featuring Amitabh Bachchan.

Touched by their performance, an emotional Amitabh Bachchan shared a behind-the-scenes story from the making of Khuda Gawah in Afghanistan. He reminisced about the challenges of filming in Mazar-e-Sharif, where large crowds gathered, not just as onlookers, but with offers of hospitality. “There were no hotels in the region, but the local Afghans would invite us to their homes, showcasing an immense generosity that I’ll never forget,” Bachchan said, recounting their warmth and hospitality.

He also revealed how one of the traditional Afghan folk tunes, which the locals sang during the shoot, made its way into the film’s music. The actor’s anecdotes offered viewers an insight into the grandeur of the film’s production and his personal experiences during the shoot.

During the show, Shreya Ghoshal expressed her admiration for Amitabh Bachchan, sharing how his fame transcends borders. “Sir, your name resonates across the globe.
