Discovery+ premiered its latest docu-drama, ‘Last Secrets of Humankind,’ yesterday, promising an enthralling exploration of human ancestry and prehistoric life in the Asian jungle. This two-part, 90-minute series will also air on discovery channel on Mondays, captivating audiences with its rich historical narrative and stunning visuals.
‘Last Secrets of Humankind’ is narrated by two celebrated actors, Nawazuddin Siddique in Hindi and Ashok Selvan in Tamil.

A Franco-Chinese co-production supported by UNESCO, ‘Last Secrets of Humankind‘ brings to light spectacular scientific discoveries dating back nearly 800,000 years. Directed by Jacques Malaterre, known for his acclaimed work ‘A Species Odyssey,’ this docu-drama also features contributions from the late esteemed paleontologist Yves Coppens.
The series utilizes state-of-the-art CGI and 3D production techniques to recreate the Zhoukoudian fauna, providing viewers with an immersive and visually stunning experience.
Shot by an all-Chinese crew, the series unearths stories from East Asia, based on the latest scientific discoveries with dramatized recreations. ‘Last Secrets of Humankind’ offers a rare glimpse into the complex relationship between human ancestors and nature, highlighting significant archaeological and paleontological findings that shed new light on the prehistoric era.
