Even as Netflix continues to expand into immersive experiences for its fans of hit series like ‘Stranger Things’, ‘Outer Banks’, ‘Bridgerton’ and more, Mastercard has decided to partner the streamer to offer exclusive benefits, such as presale tickets and more, at some of Netflix’s immersive in-person events and experiences in 2025.
“Our shows and films have incredible fanbases, and when our audiences fall in love with a story, they don’t just want to watch it, they want to live it,” said Marian Lee, Netflix’s Chief Marketing Officer.
“With a restaurant, a Broadway show and Netflix Houses opening throughout 2025, we can’t wait to welcome fans and Mastercard cardholders from all over the world to experience Netflix in person,” Lee added.
Mastercard, according to a media statement from Netflix, will be the preferred payments partner for Netflix Bites, ‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow’ and Netflix House, all opening in 2025. ‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow’ is a play that serves as a prequel to the Netflix series ‘Stranger Things’.
“We understand that spending is no longer transactional — it’s transformational,” says Raja Rajamannar, Mastercard’s chief marketing and communications officer.
“People are choosing to invest in experiences that bring personal fulfillment and lasting memories. We’re excited to bring cardholders closer to their growing passion for entertainment through this partnership with Netflix, offering them exclusive access to unique and immersive experiences,” he added.
Netflix’s second pop-up of Netflix Bites is where fans and foodies alike will be invited to a one-of-a-kind restaurant experience offering guests a savoury journey that combines inspiration from hit Netflix titles with MGM Grand’s renowned expertise in hospitality and immersive entertainment.
The first two locations of Netflix Bites will open at King of Prussia in Pennsylvania and Galleria Dallas in 2025. Mastercard will be the official cornerstone partner and preferred payment partner for both locations.
