NDTV India celebrated the grandeur of the ongoing Mahakumbh 2025 through its special program, Mahakumbh Samvaad, featuring Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in an exclusive interview with Editor-in-Chief Sanjay Pugalia, the news network said in a press release.

The Chief Minister praised Uttar Pradesh’s progress, describing the state as a “growth engine for India,” while emphasizing the Mahakumbh’s role in blending cultural heritage with sustainable development.

Highlighting his administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, CM Yogi Adityanath proudly shared that his government has provided 7 lakh government jobs to the youth of Uttar Pradesh. He also emphasized the state’s efforts to host events like the Mahakumbh, which he said reflect cultural unity while driving sustainable development.

Adityanath elaborated on the meticulous planning for Mahakumbh 2025, inspired by lessons from the Ardha Kumbh 2019. “We identified and addressed issues such as hygiene, river cleanliness, and infrastructure gaps systematically,” he noted.

For the 2025 Mahakumbh, significant improvements include:
14 underpasses and flyovers to ease congestion.
Expansion of the civil terminal for better connectivity.
Allocation of an additional 5,000 acres for parking, making the total 10,000 acres available for the mela.

Adityanath emphasized the Mahakumbh’s spiritual and inclusive significance. “On January 14, nearly six crore devotees took a dip in the Sangam, showcasing unity without discrimination,” he said. The ongoing event, which began on January 13 and will run until February 26, has already attracted over 12 crore devotees from diverse cultural backgrounds.

He also expressed his gratitude to NDTV, applauding their efforts to showcase the Mahakumbh’s grandeur. “NDTV has ensured accuracy and positivity in its coverage, taking this spiritual and cultural message to the world,” he remarked.

The program featured notable personalities, including Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who reflected on the essence of spirituality, saying, “Spirituality allows us to transcend mortality through self-awareness. It is essential to approach life with peace and patience.”

Rakesh Sinha, Amrit Abhijat, and Mukesh Meshram also shared insights on the Mahakumbh’s cultural and logistical significance, underscoring its global appeal.

Editor-in-Chief Sanjay Pugalia described the Mahakumbh 2025 as an “unprecedented spectacle,” emphasizing the meticulous planning behind the event and its grand scale.

With the Mahakumbh 2025, Uttar Pradesh stands as a testament to India’s rich traditions and its strides in development, setting an example of how cultural heritage can fuel progress while uniting millions in shared spirituality and harmony.
