From gamescom’s Opening Night Live in Germany’s Cologne, fans on the ground and tuning in globally earlier this week got the first look at ‘Squid Game: Unleashed’ and ‘Monument Valley 3’, both of which are coming exclusively to Netflix later this year.
In the meantime, ‘Monument Valley’ and ‘Monument Valley 2’, coming soon, makes the streamer the only place to play the entire ‘Monument Valley’ collection, Netflix said in a media statement.
Like all Netflix Games, these are included with all Netflix memberships without ads or in-app purchases.
‘Squid Game: Unleashed’ is the game for fans of the history-making, Emmy award-winning series. Developed by Boss Fight, a Netflix Game Studio, ‘Squid Game’ is a 32-player party royale showdown featuring challenges fans will recognize from the hit series (and some new ones).
“Making games based on hit series and films is one of the most exciting opportunities we have at Netflix,” said Bill Jackson, Head of Creative at Boss Fight, a Netflix Game Studio, adding, “We’re thrilled to offer fans a new way to experience the Squid Game universe — one that combines the show’s pulse-pounding action with the immersive thrill of gameplay.”
The award-winning franchise ‘Monument Valley’ is back for the first time in nearly a decade with another thrilling voyage into an enchanted puzzle world in ‘Monument Valley 3’, arriving December 10.
“Monument Valley is a title that has pushed boundaries of what is possible in games, from the power of minimalist design, to the simplicity of play and the emotion of interactive storytelling,” said Jennifer Estaris, Game Director of ‘Monument Valley 3’.
More about these games will be revealed at Geeked Week, which returns the week of September 16.
Netflix also released trailers of others new games, including ‘Diner Out’, ‘Ludo King’, ‘Snake.io’ (coming August 27), ‘Battleship’ (coming September 10), ‘Rollercoaster Tycoon Touch’ (coming October 8)
