Netflix, the global streaming giant, has announced a significant partnership with the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA) to bolster the growth of emerging content creators in Korea.
This collaboration underscores Netflix’s commitment to supporting the Korean content industry and nurturing fresh talent. The sponsorship agreement, formalised in conjunction with the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), will encompass training initiatives, creative grants, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
The strategic move solidifies Netflix’s dedication to the Korean entertainment landscape, aligning with a prior memorandum of understanding signed on April 27 in Washington D.C.
This tripartite pact between Netflix, KOFIC, and the Korean Creative Content Agency aims to enhance the Korean content industry’s global competitiveness through robust workforce training and development.
Under the umbrella of this comprehensive partnership, Netflix will sponsor KAFA’s upcoming training programs, providing an avenue for emerging talent to receive specialised guidance and instruction, the platform said in a statement.
