The Diamond States Summit (DSS) Grand Finale, which was held on March 28, 2025, in New Delhi, organized by News18 India, concluded in the capital with a dynamic exchange of ideas from some of India’s most influential leaders.

The event marked the culmination of an insightful journey that spanned multiple states Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Jammu & Kashmir bringing together top policymakers to discuss the road ahead for India’s development.

Held in Delhi, the grand finale was more than just a closing chapter; it was a powerful display of vision, ambition, and commitment to progress. The summit showcased success stories across various sectors, from infrastructure and digital advancements to education and cultural preservation, reinforcing the idea that governance, when executed with purpose, has the power to transform lives.

Among the many voices that shaped the discussions, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav struck a chord with his perspective on balancing tradition with progress. Speaking about the deep cultural roots of Ujjain, he said, “Heritage and progress go hand in hand. Ujjain, the city of Mahakal, is not just a spiritual place but a symbol of India’s rich culture. We are proud of our traditions and are working hard to build a bright future while respecting our roots.”

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu outlined an ambitious vision for his state, expressing confidence in its future prosperity. “Himachal Pradesh is moving forward despite challenges. By 2032, we aim to be the richest state with strong economic growth, smart financial planning, and the dedication of our people,” he declared. His words reflected a firm belief in resilience and strategic governance to drive the state toward unparalleled economic growth.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar emphasized the need for justice and inclusivity as cornerstones of progress. “Justice and equality are the pillars of a progressive society. Our commitment is to ensure every community gets fair opportunities to grow and thrive. Change is a constant, and through constitutional means, we strive to build a future where inclusivity and development go hand in hand. Better days are ahead!” he asserted.

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha shed light on the digital transformation taking place in his state. “Farmers in Bihar are now using digital tools, and young people are leading as digital warriors. The state’s budget has grown 14 times, villages have better roads, and more people have access to banking. Bihar is fast becoming a land of knowledge and opportunity,” he said, underscoring the tech-driven empowerment of Bihar’s youth and workforce.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma emphasized the role of language as a bridge to opportunity rather than a barrier. “Language should connect, not divide us. There’s no harm in learning any language—Hindi, Japanese, or our local dialects. In Meghalaya, we are using language as a tool for opportunity, helping our youth build global careers while staying rooted in our culture,” he remarked.

Adding a national perspective, Jitin Prasada, Minister of State, Government of India, spoke about the spirit of unity that defines the country. “Faith, unity, and hard work define the spirit of our nation. The Maha Kumbh was a testament to India’s strength, culture, and resolve. When people come together beyond caste and creed, we achieve the extraordinary. With this spirit, India is ready to embrace a brighter and more developed future!” His statement resonated deeply, reflecting the essence of collective progress.

Delhi’s leadership, too, shared its vision for a better future. Manjinder Sirsa, Minister of Food & Supplies, Industry, Forest & Environment, highlighted the city’s sustainability efforts, promising a cleaner and greener capital. “A cleaner, greener Delhi is not a distant dream—it is a promise we are turning into reality. With advanced waste management, we are ensuring that future generations won’t see mountains of garbage but a city that leads in sustainability. By 2027, these waste heaps will be history!” he declared, reinforcing Delhi’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

Meanwhile, Ashish Sood, Delhi’s Minister of Home, Power, Urban Development, Education & Training, focused on the importance of law and order in nation-building. “Delhi is the heart of New India—built on law, order, and integrity. We are committed to protecting our city and ensuring only lawful citizens contribute to its growth. Those who break the law will face action, and those who uphold it will always have our unwavering support,” he stated firmly.

The Diamond States Summit (DSS) has not just been a platform for showcasing progress but has also served as a catalyst for discussions that shape India’s governance landscape. By highlighting impactful policies, transformative leadership, and forward-thinking solutions, the event reaffirmed News18 India’s commitment to driving meaningful conversations that inspire action. As the summit came to a close in Delhi, it left behind a roadmap for progress—one that promises to shape India’s future in the years to come.
