News9 Plus and ‘Duologue with Barun Das’ Season 2 have achieved top honors at the IWMBuzz Digital Awards 2023.

Barun Das, MD and CEO of TV9 Network, received the ‘Best Talk Show’ award for the second consecutive year for ‘Duologue with Barun Das’.

Additionally, News9 Plus, the world’s first OTT news platform, won the ‘Most Promising OTT Platform’ award, marking a significant achievement in the realm of news OTT platforms, the company said in a press release.

Barun Das, renowned for his innovative leadership in the media industry, expressed his gratitude at the awards ceremony held in Mumbai, attended by luminaries such as Kajol, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Sushmita Sen. He emphasized the network’s commitment to creating traditional OTT content through Studio 9, TV9 Network’s production vertical.

The IWMBuzz Digital Awards, in its sixth season, celebrated excellence in OTT and web entertainment with a distinguished jury that included Celina Jaitley, Madhoo, Anand Desai, Bharat Dabholkar, and Goldie Bhel. Siddhartha Laik, founder and editor-in-chief of IWMBuzz, praised the trailblazing efforts of News9 Plus and ‘Duologue with Barun Das’, highlighting their innovative contributions to the digital landscape.

‘Duologue with Barun Das’ Season 2 featured engaging conversations with prominent figures like Telugu megastar Allu Arjun, football legend Oliver Kahn, and Indo-American author Deepak Chopra. The show’s first season also garnered accolades, including the ‘Best Set Design Silver’ award at the AFAQS Future of News 2022 and the ‘Best Talk Show’ award at the News Television Awards 2023.

Under Barun Das’s visionary leadership, TV9 Network continues to redefine the media landscape, with News9 Plus and News9 Live forming the pillars of the News9 Mediaverse. Amazing and grim battle for survival. Guess it will end up in Supreme Court. All that NCLT asked Zee to do was to file a reply to Invesco petition for a EGM. Now this is getting too serious. So far Invesco has been hammered for demanding an EGM. What is Zee upto? Ofcourse my lawyer community knows better!
