NXTDigital Limited (NDL), the media vertical of the global Hinduja Group, has closed Q2 and H1 of 2022-23 fiscal with improved EBIDTA and said on Wednesday the focus now is on launching of broadband-over-satellite to drive growth, apart from other digital products like ‘OneDigital’ and ‘NxtPlay’.
The company said EBIDTA for Q2 has grown to Rs 55.26 crore, bettering its performance of Rs 51.64 crore for the corresponding quarter of last fiscal and Rs 54.09 crore for the preceding quarter of this fiscal.
It also ended the first six months of this fiscal with consolidated revenues of Rs 548.9 crore against last years’ revenue of Rs 543.2 crore.
With a stable performance, NxtDigital now is focussing on getting off the ground shortly its new services — broadband-over-satellite, in strategic partnership with Thaicom, and OneDigital and NXTPlay, the last being the digital content app.
The company in a statement added that the 100th owned-and-operated NXTHUB has been launched and it continues to be the growth driver for broadband, digital television and OTT solutions.
A new product too was launched, NXTSangram, which is a national programme training franchisees to make a paradigm shift to delivering NXTDigital’s digital solutions as ‘Digital Services Partners’. The aim is to train over 10,000 of its last mile owners or franchisees.
NDL’s consolidated revenue stood at Rs 548.9 crores for the half year of this fiscal ended September 30, 2022, as against Rs 543.2 crore for the corresponding half year of the previous fiscal.
For the quarter ended September 30, the company said it improved its EBIDTA compared to the previous corresponding period.
“The media and communications business has continued to focus on innovative growth drivers during Q2 resulting in stability across all its platform businesses, including digital television and broadband verticals,” the company said.
