Prime Video has officially confirmed the global premiere of its upcoming psychological thriller ‘Crazxy’, featuring critically acclaimed actor Sohum Shah in the lead.
The film, which delves into the mind of a man caught between reality and delusion, is set to premiere exclusively on the streaming platform in the coming weeks.
According to a recent report by NDTV, ‘Crazxy’ will be released across 240 countries and territories, making it one of the most widely distributed Indian original thrillers on the platform. The film is expected to offer viewers a gripping, mind-bending narrative that explores themes of trauma, isolation, and mental breakdown, with Shah delivering what insiders are calling one of his most intense performances yet.
Directed by national award-winning filmmaker Kanishk Varma, Crazxy follows the story of a seemingly ordinary man whose descent into madness reveals unsettling secrets buried in his past. The film promises a blend of suspenseful storytelling and atmospheric visuals, crafted to keep audiences guessing until the very end.
Sohum Shah, known for his nuanced performances in films like ‘Tumbbad’ and ‘Talvar’, said in a statement that ‘Crazxy’ is a story he’s been wanting to tell for a long time. “It’s a very personal film. It’s dark, psychological, and emotionally charged. I can’t wait for audiences across the globe to witness this experience,” he shared.
Prime Video, continuing its commitment to diverse storytelling, sees Crazxy as a key addition to its thriller portfolio. “We are thrilled to bring this edge-of-your-seat narrative to our global audience,” said Aparna Purohit, Head of India Originals at Prime Video. “The storytelling is intense, the performances are raw, and the message is deeply relevant in today’s world.”
The film is expected to feature a tight, immersive screenplay, with an evocative background score and stylised cinematography to match its psychological tone. While an exact release date has yet to be announced, anticipation is already building among fans of the genre and Shah’s loyal audience.
With Indian psychological thrillers gaining global attention in recent years, ‘Crazxy’ is poised to be another breakout moment—not just for its genre, but also for regional talent making waves on the international OTT stage.
