Pro Panja League S2 starts Aug 5 on Sony Sports

Get ready for an electrifying showdown as the much-awaited second season of the Pro Panja League is set to return on August 5, 2025, on the Sony Sports Network.

After the resounding success of its inaugural edition, the league is gearing up to captivate audiences once again, bringing India’s finest arm wrestlers into the spotlight, UNI reported from Mumbai.

The action will be broadcast daily for two hours on Sony Sports Ten 3 channels (both SD and HD), the network’s flagship Hindi sports channel. Building on its IPL-style format, Pro Panja League will feature franchise-based teams battling it out over a thrilling 17-day competition for the coveted championship title. The first season concluded with an intense finale, where Kochi KD’s emerged victorious after a nail-biting contest.

The timing couldn’t be more perfect, as the league’s second season follows immediately after the highly anticipated India tour of England cricket series, which wraps up on August 4. With this seamless transition, sports fans across the country are assured of continuous high-energy entertainment throughout August.

The Pro Panja League has already made a mark in its debut season. According to data from the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), the league attracted an impressive 32 million unique viewers across Sony Sports and Doordarshan, outperforming many other newly launched leagues in India. With this momentum, expectations are soaring for an even bigger and better season two.

Co-founder of Pro Panja League, Parvinn Dabass, expressed his excitement about the league’s return. “We were overwhelmed with the response we received in the first season and are delighted to bring the league back for our loyal audiences. Since the inception of Pro Panja League, arm wrestling as a sport has grown exponentially, and I expect the following to grow even further after the second season,” he said. Dabass also highlighted the evolution of the athletes, noting that the competition will be fiercer this time as the participants have trained extensively to level up their performances.

He further added, “The scale of the competition is going to be much higher this time. Arm wrestling is not just a game people play casually anymore — it is a professional sport and will soon become a household name with the league’s rapid growth.” His optimism stems from the strong crowd response the league has witnessed at events like the recent Pro Panja Mizoram Mega Matches, which saw a footfall of around 15,000–20,000 fans.

As the countdown begins, Pro Panja League promises a season packed with gripping matches, larger-than-life athletes, and the kind of sports drama that keeps audiences hooked. Whether you are a die-hard sports buff or new to the world of arm wrestling, this season promises something for everyone.
