In his next feature film, actor R Madhavan will play Indian inventor and engineer Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu (GD Naidu).
Naidu, known as the ‘Edison of India’, is credited with developing India’s first electric motor. He made major contributions to many sectors, including mechanical, electrical and agricultural engineering.
Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited, the production company, announced the project on its social media account, PTI reported from Mumbai.
“Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited has signed a deal with GD Naidu charities to make a biopic about the life and achievements of Miracle Man #GDNaidu, starring @ActorMadhavan,” the producers announced in a tweet.
Krishna Kumar is to direct the film. Madhavan was last seen playing the role of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan in biopic ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, which he also directed.
