The movie was scheduled to hit the theatres in March but was later postponed due to the rise of COVID19.
And for that, Ram Gopal Varma has now released his movie on the OTT platform.
D Company has been written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film, produced by Sagar Manchanuru under the banner of Spark Productions, who is also the CEO of Spark OTT.
The filmmaker has said that 80-90 percent of his upcoming movies will be released on the OTT platform.
In an interview, Ram Gopal Varma had said that “The first reason is that you have to go to the theatre, while the other has to make a convention to take yourself to the theatre. You now have to take three hours to go to the movie and if you go to the movie and you don’t like the film in the first 10 minutes, you start getting bored and you think you have wasted your time. The ott platform is characterized by that if you don’t like a movie, you can skip it and watch another film, I think the OTT platform will benefit the audience.”
