In a much-anticipated release, Sagar World Multimedia and Aerika Cineworks have teamed up with Doordarshan once again to bring an epic devotional series, ‘Jai Mata Vaishno Devi Ki,’ to screens this Navratri season. The show, which premiered on October 2, 2024, is set to capture the hearts of Indian audiences with its divine storytelling and breathtaking visuals.
Presented by J.C. Chaudhry and produced by Prem Sagar, Neelam Sagar, and Shiv Sagar, the series will air at 7:30 pm and 10:30 pm on Doordarshan, with repeat telecasts at 7:00 am and 12:00 pm daily. Directed by Dharmesh Shah, the 11-episode series offers a spiritual journey through the love and devotion between Shri Ram and Mata Vaishno, a pivotal tale in Indian mythology that has been passed down through generations.
The series, based on the famous book Vaishno Devi – Jammu by renowned journalist Shri Suraj Saraf, takes viewers on an immersive journey of ‘Maa Vaishnodevi’, tracing her spiritual path from Ratnagiri to Trikuta Parbat, where she waits for Shri Ram in the ‘Kalki’ avatar. The show provides a perfect backdrop for Navratri celebrations, emphasizing devotion, spirituality, and the rich tapestry of Indian culture.
Filmed across stunning locations in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir, and Vrindavan, the series is not just a visual treat but a cultural experience that reconnects viewers with timeless traditions. Despite the challenging circumstances following the second Covid wave, the crew completed filming in an impressive 50 days, bringing both indoor and outdoor scenes to life.
Shiv Sagar, the grandson of the legendary ‘Ramanand Sagar’, helms the creative direction of the series. He has been previously involved in producing and directing shows like ‘Mahima Shani Devi Ki’ and ‘Jai Bajrang Bali’, and his dedication to preserving and modernizing mythological storytelling is evident in this latest project. As the creative force behind this series, he has also penned the screenplay, ensuring a story that resonates with audiences across all age groups.
This Navratri, ‘Jai Mata Vaishno Devi Ki’ is more than just a series—it’s a cultural event that families can gather around to celebrate devotion, love, and spirituality.
