Sanjay Raut, the leader of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray), recently appeared on Rajat Sharma’s show Aap Ki Adalat’.
The two were locked in a heated argument about the Sena party’s split. Raut stated that “Rs 2,000 crore was spent on purchasing MLAs” in response to the split.
Adding on, he stated that “getting recognition was a part of the packaged deal. Raut made several revelations on the show, which aired last night.
Sharma also questioned Raut about the Electoral Commission order, implying that Raut’s camp is now concerned about protecting their 384 crore property. Raut then responded, “Tell me if Rs 384 crore is a large sum for our party, which has been around for over 50 years. It has held power at both the state and federal levels. As a party, if we collected 300 rupees in party funds, Shinde should not have this pain in his stomach”. Sharma then questioned Raut further “You’re afraid to even Matoshri bungalow could be taken over,” they say.
Raut responded directly, “They have obtained the Shiv Sena’s name and the bow-arrow symbol with the assistance of the Election Commission. Allow them to carry these for the next 2-3 months so that they can realize their true power. This game will only last a few days.”
The conversation between Sharma and Raut moved quickly. Sharma also questioned Raut about his claims that the Shinde government used black magic. “Go to the Mantralaya, CM House, and see what is going on, which animals they sacrificed at the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati,” Raut said.
What was there to hide if everyone knew? Investigate whether black magic is practiced in people’s homes in Maharashtra. This is not a Maharashtrian tradition, but rather a superstition.”
Sharma, a seasoned interviewer, retorted, “it was written Supriya Sule’s sari caught fire, Ajit Pawar was trapped inside a lift, Balasaheb Thorat broke his shoulder, Dhananjay Munde had an accident, and Sanjay Raut had to go to jail. All of this happened because of black magic?” Raut quickly responded, saying that the people of Maharashtra feel this way.
Raut, who is also embroiled in legal proceedings, was asked to clarify his remarks about the judiciary becoming a mistress for those in power. “Yes, I wrote it, and I stand by it. This is not an isolated allegation. Many eminent people in the country are also saying that we are not getting justice. I also stated that the Supreme Court is the only place where we can find a ray of hope for justice.”
Another revelation made by the Uddhav Shiv Sena chief claimed that the majority of the 40 MLAs who defected to join the Eknath Shinde camp are afraid of ED, CBI, and Income Tax raids. According to Raut, “Ten of the 40 MLAs who resigned faced ED charges, three faced CBI charges and two-faced Income Tax proceedings. They were intimidated and offered money, and they fled the party in fear. What happened to Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Member of Parliament? The game that was played in Maharashtra was previously played in MP, and it was also tried in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. This was also attempted in Delhi and Telangana.”
The show’s final segment focused on Raut’s thoughts on Raj Thackeray. Sharma compared Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray’s demeanor to Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray’s. Raut responded with a laugh, saying that “comedians and mimicry artistes like Johnny Lever and Raju Shrivastava can copy, but that does not make one a leader like Balasaheb.”
Finally, Sharma inquired as to why Raj Thackeray separated from Uddhav Thackeray. Raj’s wish, according to Raut. A family has two or four brothers who go their separate ways. I can do something different, he reasoned. He organized his party. However, he currently has nothing. He sometimes works with the BJP, and sometimes with anyone. Even Shinde believes he can become Prime Minister.”
