Mari Selvaraj, known for directing “Karnan” and ‘Pariyerum Perumal,’ helms the film, with A R Rahman serving as the music composer, PTI reported.

The official Twitter page of Netflix India shared the premiere date for ‘Maamannan.’

The movie delves into the topics of caste politics, reservation, and social injustice, following the narrative of Vadivelu’s character, the titular Maamannan, and his son Veera, portrayed by Stalin. The film is produced by Stalin’s Red Giant Movies.
