Dipashree Das, Netflix’s Content and Brand Marketing Head, has put in her papers and decided to move on.
Das spent almost six years with the subscription streaming service and production company.
Das made this announcement via a LinkedIn post and shared a few learnings from her stint.
She said, “I recently decided to wrap up an almost 6-year stint at a place I have had the highest honor of calling my professional home, Netflix. Oh, and what a wild ride it has been! Netflix is a place like no other, it changes you, redefines you, bends you out of shape, and makes you believe in yourself in a measure you didn’t think possible.”
She went to list her top learnings at Netflix as the following:
· Learn to be comfortable with discomfort, with uncertainty. Change is the only constant. That skill stood me in good stead in my personal life as well.
· Learn to ask the tough questions, the ones no one will ask. It is from dissent that the best ideas are born.
· Learn to play as a team. You are only going to be as good as your team.
· Learn to unlearn. And then relearn. And rinse and repeat. There’s no place for ego in this process. You should have no shame in learning from even the youngest member of your team.
“I’ve met the singularly most talented and hard-working people at Netflix. I have had the honor of working shoulder to shoulder with some of the finest marketers, partners, creatives, and talent this region will ever see. I have had the privilege of having a couple of bosses who are now mentors I can call upon for any career decision.
“How else would this girl from a small town, with a graduate degree in English Literature go on to help launch this incredibly iconic brand in 8 countries, in less than 6 years? It is because of you- you will always have my deepest gratitude and respect.
“About a week from now I return to a city that has always felt like home, to take on an APAC+ role at a very exciting company that is reshaping every facet of entertainment as we know it.

Netflix is an emotion. I strongly believe it can weather any storm,” she penned in an emotional note.
