Sony Entertainment Television’s renowned dance reality show, ‘India’s Best Dancer – Season 4,’ has announced its top twelve contestants, aptly named the ‘Best Barah.’ After an exhilarating series of auditions and mega auditions, judges Karisma Kapoor, Geeta Kapur, and Terence Lewis have selected the finest dancers from across the country to continue in the competition.
The ‘Best Barah’ includes Amos Mathi, Arjun Sathe, and Akansha Mishra (Akina) from Mumbai, Nikhil Patanayak from Chhattisgarh, Harsh Keshri from Patna, Smruti Swarup Patra (Nextion) and Dibyajoti Naik from Orissa, Deepak Sahi (Nepo) from Uttarakhand, Vaishnavi Shekhawat from Bangalore, Steve Jyrwa from Meghalaya, Chitrakshi Batra from Punjab, and Rohan Choudhary from Assam.
Each of these talented dancers has captivated audiences and judges alike, showcasing their exceptional skills and earning their place on this prestigious platform. The Grand Premiere on August 3rd and 4th will feature the ‘Best Barah’ performing with their respective choreographers, marking the beginning of their journey towards the winning trophy.
Amos Mathi, a 23-year-old freestyle dancer from Borivali, impressed with his Mumbaiya charm and dance prowess. Arjun Sathe brought a unique fusion of house dance with contemporary and lyrical styles, while Akansha Mishra, known as Akina, mesmerized with her lyrical choreography blending emotion and technique.
Nikhil Patnayak from Chhattisgarh showcased powerful contemporary routines with strong lines and expressive choreography. Harsh Keshri from Patna was captivated by his intense contemporary dance, and Smruti Swarup Patra, also known as Nextion, wowed with hip-hop and freestyle performances.
Dibyajyoti Naik, spotted in the audience by host Jay Bhanushali, was impressed with his mix of popping and Bollywood choreography. Deepak Shahi, affectionately called Nepo, delivered dynamic hip-hop freestyle from Uttarakhand, while Vaishnavi Shekhawat from Bangalore was amazed with her modern contemporary dance.
Steve Jyrwa from Meghalaya stunned the judges with his flawless hip-hop moves, and Punjab’s Chitrakshi Batra showcased open-style choreography. Rohan Chaudhary from Assam completed the top twelve with his commanding hip-hop performances.
The selection process was incredibly challenging due to the extraordinary talent and creativity displayed by all participants. The competition promises to be thrilling as these dancers continue to push their artistic boundaries and vie for the coveted title.
