Sony BBC Earth proudly announces the premiere of ‘Planet Earth III,’ the latest installment in the acclaimed and award-winning Planet Earth series. This highly anticipated eight-part series, narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough, debuts tonight at 9:00 pm on Sony BBC Earth.
Produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit, ‘Planet Earth III delves into the lives of some of the world’s most extraordinary species, weaving stories filled with drama, thrill, humor, and deep emotion. The channel said in a press note that the channel addresses the complex challenges faced by wildlife in our increasingly crowded world, bringing viewers a closer look at how nature adapts and thrives despite these obstacles.
Notably, the series showcases stunning locations in India, including the teak forests where whistling wild dogs hunt prey three times their size and a village where venomous cobras have adapted to coexist with humans. The final episode pays tribute to the unsung heroes worldwide who risk their lives to protect wildlife and preserve our planet’s critical ecosystems.
In celebration of the premiere, Sony BBC Earth launched the ‘WilderThanYourImagination’ campaign. This initiative aims to captivate audiences with Earth’s unseen wonders, offering a glimpse into the incredible stories that lie beyond our imagination. As part of the campaign, the channel held exclusive screenings at science centers in Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai, engaging over 1,400 students who were inspired and educated by the series’ content.
