Sony Sports Network has been named the official broadcaster for the 2023 US Open for India, which begins on August 28.
Sony channels will play a key role in bringing exciting tennis action live from the prestigious USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Queens, New York City, according to a report in Firstpost.
In addition to the live coverage of the US Open, Sony Sports Network‘s flagship studio show, ‘Extraaa Serve’, hosted by Suhail Chandok, will air before and after each match day.
‘Extraaa Serve’ will include expert insights from fan favourites Somdev Devvarman, former India No. 1; Purav Raja, who represents India in the Davis Cup; and Sania Mirza, Indian tennis legend and multiple Grand Slam winner.
The Hindi commentary will begin on September 6, with Saarthak Lal, Manish Batavia and Atish Thukral joining the commentary team as panellists from the quarter-finals onwards.
