Swastik marks 10 years of ‘Mahabharat’

Swastik Productions, renowned for its dedication to portraying Indian mythology and history on screen, celebrated the tenth anniversary of its acclaimed series, ‘Mahabharat’. Since its premiere, the show has enchanted global audiences with its compelling storytelling and stunning visuals.

To commemorate this significant milestone, Swastik has launched a digital campaign inviting fans to relive the magic of Mahabharat. A highlight of this initiative is the release of the unseen pilot episode on the company’s YouTube channel, offering viewers a glimpse into the early creative vision that shaped the production.

In addition, Swastik Productions has introduced animated avatars inspired by the characters of Mahabharat. These innovative renditions are designed to engage younger audiences and bridge traditional mythology with contemporary digital art, fostering a deeper connection with Indian cultural narratives.

The anniversary festivities included a heartfelt reunion of the original Mahabharat cast and crew. In an exclusive roundtable discussion led by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, key actors—Shaheer Sheikh (Arjun), Sourabh Raaj Jain (Krishna), Arpit Ranka (Duryodhan), Aham Sharma (Karna), Pooja Sharma (Draupadi), Riya Deepsi (Gandhari), Anoop Singh Thakur (Dhritarashtra), Rohit Bhardwaj (Yudhishthira), Saurav Gurjar (Bhima), and Arav Chowdhary (Bhishma)—reflected on their experiences on set, shared fond memories, and discussed the show’s enduring impact. The conversation explored vital themes such as duty, loyalty, and human relationships, elements that resonate with audiences and cement Mahabharat’s status as a classic. These insightful episodes will be available on Swastik’s official YouTube channel, allowing fans an exclusive look into the making of the epic.

Further enriching the event, Swastik showcased iconic items from the show, including crowns, Krishna’s flute, Bhima’s gada, and the chausar game. These artefacts not only highlighted the exquisite craftsmanship that brought Mahabharat to life but also underscored the dedication involved in creating a culturally significant production.
